YOUJITSU

THE ART OF BEING YOU. Whatever your feelings about being photographed, you were brought into this world not just to be seen—but to be known.

NOUN VERB Done right, A headshot reflects who you are, Who are you becoming.

Authenticity is a verb. It’s a frequency emitted by humans in act of BEING—the I AM within us all, burning too bright for any noun.

Leading.

Making.

Teaching.

Healing.

You were made in the image, born to be witnessed.

Remember your last photoshoot? The big production with the lights, the stylist, the poses, the pressure?

This is not that.

Turn that bad memory inside-out and imagine the opposite—in your studio, at your office, out in the workshop…wherever you are when you're doing your thing; just an ordinary day of you making the extraordinary look easy.

No shot list. No acting. No sweaty armpits. No lying to the lens. Just you being you, and me being me—WITNESSING.

[ IMAGES ]

A coach leading men through transformation—and experiencing his own.

A man being REMADE before our eyes…

An artist WELCOMING us into the world that is his mind…

A couple inviting us to RELAX with them at their lakeside retreat…

Images like these aren’t taken—they are received. Emotions like these aren’t exposed—they are shared. Truths like these aren't captured—they are set free.

Bound by a connection, not a contract, to be witnessed is to undertake a journey of absolute direction to parts unknown.

That’s a feature, not a bug.

Why? Because expectation invites performance—and performance undermines authenticity.

  • Maybe we come out with 20 great images that can drive your social messaging over the next year.

  • Maybe it’s a triptych of three powerful images that, however impossibly, tell the entire story.

  • Maybe it’s one iconic visual that takes its rightful place as the hero shot on your website, a mural on your wall, the cover of your next book…

A lot of maybe’s, but one thing is certain:

You’re not buying another package from a photographer—you’re entering into a pact with an alchemist:

Invite me into your world, and I will reflect the light you’ve felt but never seen—revealing artifacts that speak your truth to the world.

Sounds different. What does that even look like?

It’ll probably start off looking like a scene out of a Tarantino film:

A bounty hunter with a scorpion tail beard and a lens for a blade thundering in on a white Harley, inhaling art through his eyes and exhale truth into view.

OK—so maybe different doesn’t exactly cover it. Seen through a transactional lens, transformation often looks strange.

But maybe it’s your kind of strange.

If so, what happens next is equally weird—in all the right ways.

A witnessing typically unfolds over two unscripted encounters, spread over two consecutive days.

The first is abbreviated, just enough to give me a window into your world and its light—visible and otherwise.

Maybe we share a meal if time allows.

Either way, I’ll have my camera on hand for pre-metering, but the blade is seldom drawn before our second encounter.

How that plays out could be an hour of intense focus at a set time when you’re doing your thing, or I might disappear into the walls and soak up the environment all day.

It depends. What I do know is this:

YOU ARE A WORK OF ART. Made in the image. Powered by sacred voltage. A one-of-one manifestation of the divine light of creation.

That’s why I’m not merely suggesting—I’m guaranteeing there’s gold where you stand.

Let me dig.

If I find what we seek, you’ll pay me the rate we agreed upon in advance for those images that cross the threshold from content to art.

If I come up empty-handed (hasn’t happened yet, but we're only human), all you’re out is maybe the cost of a dinner—perhaps a fair share of the travel expense.

Either way, we part as friends—and better versions of ourselves for the pursuit.
